Many athletes are superstitious and cyclists are no exception. It is not uncommon for whomever gets bib number 13 will wear one of the bibs upside down to confuse the ill fortune. It is against race rules to display bib numbers any way other than the manner indented. Fortunately for Francois Bidard (Ag2r La Mondiale) the referees don't enforce the rule on number 13. Bidard was spending the day on the tail of the peloton, at this moment he is joined by Alex Howes (Cannondale-Drapac). Given the current pace of the peloton, they may have actually had time to enjoy the views of the sea.
