Sailing into Pink
Nairo Quintana (Movistar) was finally able to shake his two companions and solo his way to the top of the Blockhaus climb. He crossed the line 18 seconds ahead of Thibaut Pinot (FDJ) who as joined by Tom Dumoulin (Sunweb) at the line. Nibali faded at the end coming in over a minute behind the new Maglia Rosa of Quintana, but still managing 5th on the day. Today was a day that shook up the general classification, but with the first individual time trial after Monday's rest day, it is sure to change again. Given Quintana's less than perfect time trialing prowess, it may not have been enough a margin today, to keep pink after stage 10.
