One of the first of the start of the race favorites to roll down the start ramp was Rigoberto Uran (EF Education First), The Colombian has been having a quiet Tour up until today. He got around the course in thirty five and a half minutes, putting him near the top of the leader board at the line in Pau. His efforts did help move him up the general classification, but not far enough for his liking.
