Starting It All UCI19-1
Here we go again! This is the first painting from this year's UCI Road World Championships. And it is the first time the Mixed Team Time Trial has been used in the Worlds. This race replaces the Team Time Trials where riders rode for their trade teams with both professional women's and men's teams competing for the Gold Medal of world champions. Instead, the race has three men doing one lap of the course, followed by three women starting as the second man crosses the line. The total time is taken once the second woman crosses the line. It is all a little confusing until I got to watch the racing. I was releaved to see that there was no baton being passed, which I feared since the race was being refered to as a relay. So, all that being said, this is the first three men to hit the course representing the UCI Cycling Center. The three men are Ben Katerberg (Canada), Dillon Corkery (Ireland) and Petr Kelemen (Czechia).
