With just two kilometers to the line it was Maximilian Schachmann in his Maglia Blanco of best young rider leading out their sprinter, Elia Viviani in his purple best sprinter jersey. on Schachman's wheel in the Czech national champion's jersey was Zdenek Stybar followed by Michael Morkov and another member of the boys in blue whose name I didn't catch. They were working hard to deliver Viviani to his second stage victory of the 101st Giro d'Italia.
