Leading the charge is the German National Champion, Maximilian Schachmann (Bora-Hansgrohe) with Dylan Teuns (Bahrain McLaren) glued to his wheel. It will vastly increase the chances of staying off the front to the line, but now one of the four will not be on the podium for the stage. Conversely, one of the four will be pulling on the Yellow Jersey of race leader in four kilometers' time.
