Richie Porte's (Trek-Segafredo) wife had a baby right at the start of the Tour de France, according to the press she wanted him to go and ride the Tour. Porte has felt that this was his last chance to ride the Tour has a team leader, in fact he has official said he will not do so again. According to the press again, all he wants is to photograph on the Champs Elysees standing on the podium. His third place in today's time trial ensure that his desire was going to be his reality.
