I wonder when it will sink in for Sepp Kuss (Jumbo-Visma) that he just won a stage of the Tour de France. And he did it by out climbing and out descending Alejandro Valverde! Kuss is the first American to win a stage of the Tour de France since 2011. It was a full decade ago when Tyler Farrar took a sprint stage in the Tour. Somehow, I don't think this will be the last stage victory for this guy. The Tour started very badly for his team with three guys on the team including last year's runner up in the Tour having all crashed out. Since then they have the second place in the best young rider competition, and have now won two stages, more than two thirds of the teams in the Tour haven't won any stages.
