Maintaining Control
Team Sky has been every bit as strong as their leader in yellow, Chris Froome. Froome has been sure to let everyone know that it is the strength of Team Sky that is the reason that he has been able to build the two and a half minute lead in the race for the Maillot Jaune. On the front of this group of the elite of the Tour is Richie Porte (Team Sky) wearing the Maillot a Pois on loan from Froome who has the lead in both the King of the Mountain and the overall General Classification. Tucked on to Porte's wheel is the final defensive line held by the former British National Champion, Geraint Thomas (Team Sky). The trio seems to have control over those behind them on the road and on the GC, including Nairo Quintana (Movistar), Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) and Tejay van Garderen (BMC).
